On September 20, Hurricane Maria caused major devastation in Puerto Rico. Homes were decimated and many residents were left without power and without necessary resources to go on with day-to-day life. These communities are in need, and local students have the power to help. Ford C3 is launching in Puerto Rico, giving university or college students the opportunity to use their unique skills to catalyze community rebuilding projects and provide assistance to those hit the hardest by this natural disaster.
The Ford Driving Dreams Tour is designed to motivate students to complete high school on-time and to pursue higher education. The Ford Motor Company Fund signature program targets high schools with a significant Latino student population and brings Ford Fund educational initiatives and partnerships to a community.
Ford Motor Company Fund aims to support colleges and universities as they work alongside students to design and develop programs and initiatives that address critical community needs in new ways, with a focus on helping the community become a more sustainable place to work and live.
