Ford C3 Brings Disaster Relief to Puerto Rico
On September 20, Hurricane Maria caused major devastation in Puerto Rico. Homes were decimated and many residents were left without power and without necessary resources to go on with day-to-day life. These communities are in need, and local students have the power to help. Ford C3 is launching in Puerto Rico, giving university or college students the opportunity to use their unique skills to catalyze community rebuilding projects and provide assistance to those hit the hardest by this natural disaster.
Students may submit a proposal addressing the theme of Making Lives Better by Rebuilding Sustainable Communities for projects that address pressing local needs caused by Hurricane Maria. Participants are urged to think broadly and explore a variety of potential topics including infrastructure and workforce needs, education pipeline issues, and new approaches to student volunteerism, etc.
